When we heard that Zendaya Cher would be inducting Cher into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, all we could think about was her looks. Since Zendaya and her team never go wrong, we knew that whatever she chose would be absolutely perfect. Which era of Cher would she pay homage to: the ’80s bombshell with long hair and Bob Mackie dresses? The futuristic vibes of the “Believe” video? There was actually only one correct answer: lots of jet-black hair that reached down to his ass.

Cher has gone through countless changes over her 50-plus year career, but is still best known for her ultra-long, ultra-straight black hair, and that’s exactly the direction Zendaya went in at the event in Cleveland, Ohio. Hairstylist Coree Moreno gave the star the ultimate Cher hair with a middle part, sleek and shiny black hair that reached past her hips and only touched her butt, similar to how Cher wore her hair in the early days of her career and so on The Sonny & Cher Show. And when we say it was absolutely straight, we mean it. There were no curls or kinks in this super sleek style, just pure Cher energy.

As if Zendaya’s hair wasn’t shiny enough, makeup artist Raoul Alejandre dialed up the shimmer to level 1000 with dewy, glowing skin, warm apricot eyeshadow, and shimmery champagne eyeshadow in the inner corners of Zendaya’s eyes for added shine. A touch of clear lip gloss completed the look.

Of course, image architect Law Roach dressed Zendaya in a sparkly gold Bob Mackie archival dress with a criss-cross halter top and thin straps across the waist to give her hair plenty of room to swing and sway as she moved. Honestly, if she had picked up a microphone and started singing “I Got You Babe,” we would have been zero percent surprised.
