YSU women’s basketball hires Logan Miller as graduate education assistant

Logan Miller has joined the coaching staff of the Youngstown State University women’s basketball team as an assistant and head coach. Melissa Jackson announced.

Miller comes to Youngstown after spending the past three seasons as the head manager of the women’s basketball program at James Madison and gained additional experience as a basketball operations intern at VMI in the summer of 2023.

In his three seasons with the Dukes, Miller made nearly 30 away trips to help coordinate meals, workouts, videotaping, laundry and travel logistics. He also worked with the coaching staff to handle day-to-day tasks such as assisting with practices, organizing and conducting recruit visits and coordinating team events. Miller was also responsible for training new managers for JMU, which won the Sun Belt championship and advanced to the 2022-23 NCAA Tournament.

While interning with VMI’s men’s basketball program, Miller assisted the director of operations in setting daily and weekly goals. His experience included helping to run two camp sessions, filming and editing practices, and creating graphics for social media posts.

Miller earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports and Recreation Management from JMU in May 2024.
