    Young Sheldon EP teases Georgie and Mandy’s wedding episode with “the most people we’ve ever had together in one scene”

    Young Sheldon Fans don’t have to wait for the planned Georgie and Mandy spinoff to see CeeCe’s parents get married.

    In conversation with TVLine ahead of the The Big Bang Theory When the spinoff returns (Thursday, February 15 at 8/7c), executive producer Steve Holland announced that the seventh and final season of the CBS comedy will be about a wedding.

    “There’s a wedding coming up,” the EP confirmed on February 7. “We’re actually shooting it today. Yesterday and today. It’s been really fun, and I don’t think we’ve ever had so many people together in one scene, so it’s exciting.”

    “It’s not a big wedding,” he adds, “but everyone they care about is there.”

    Georgie’s wedding was supposed to take place in season 7. Young Sheldon In Season 1, George Sr. bet his son $1,000 that he would be married before his 25th birthday. After accepting his father’s bet, our narrator chimed in and said that Georgie married his first wife at 19 – and in Young SheldonIn the finale of the sixth season of “The Incredible Journey”, Mandy proposed to 18-year-old Georgie.

    As previously reported, CBS is planning to expand the The Big Bang Theory Universe once again — this time with a Young Sheldon spinoff that revolves around the groom and the bride. Contracts with Montana Jordan and Emily Osment are still being negotiated, but CBS and Warner Bros. are looking to secure a 13-episode premiere for the 2024-25 TV season – which means the spinoff could premiere within months of Young SheldonThe series finale on May 16th.

    It is not yet known when the wedding episode will air or who has signed up for Georgie and Mandy’s big day – but we do know that Young Sheldon At the time of filming for the wedding, production of the 14 episodes ordered was halfway finished.
