WWE’s Motor City Machine Guns take a big step towards the bloodline in their SmackDown debut

The Motor City Machine Guns made their highly anticipated debut tonight on WWE SmackDown, and the only thing that could make that debut any better is a simultaneous win. This would be a tall order as it was announced earlier in the night that MCMG would face A-Town Down and Los Garza in a triple threat match. There were also additional stakes as a second Triple Threat was also in play and the winners would face off for a shot at the Tag Team Championships. Each team had their moments, but MCMG showed their talent throughout and survived a big wave from A-Town Down to take the win. This set them up for a match against DIY and brought them a big step closer to the WWE Tag Team Championship. To do so, however, they must defeat The Bloodline, and that’s a confrontation everyone wants to see. At this rate, it seems we’ll get that sooner rather than later.

A great start

Garza and Waller teamed up to attack Sabin early in the match, with the Superstars attempting to put WWE’s newest additions in their place. Sabin went up top and hit a crossbody to knock both of them to the floor, then hit a slick slam on Garza. They then performed sliding kicks and then threw the other two opponents out of the ring before Sabin landed between Shelley’s legs with a big dive.

Waller dropped Shelley, but MCMG quickly recovered and Shelley took control of the match against Waller in the ring. Shelley painfully knocked Waller’s elbow to the ground, but was then rocked by a punch to the face. He was thrown to the mat again as Waller and Theory both hit him, but Garza broke up a pin attempt and then tagged in Carrillo.

Carrillo was in command of the game for a while while Shelley was unable to get close to Sabin. Theory and Waller rushed in to stop Shelley from tagging in his partner, but Shelley was able to stay afloat even after Carrillo double stomped off the top rope and pinned Waller. Theory ended things and went to war with Carrillo, and a vicious knee strike to the back from Carrillo swung the match his way.

That all changed when Shelley finally made the tag to Sabin, who teamed up, took out Theory and then set up Carrillo for the big splash into the neckbreaker, and that was it for Los Garza and A-Town Down. MCMG takes victory in their WWE debut and will face DIY in a match next week to decide who has a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships.

A bloodline battle

Now things get interesting. First of all, MCMG vs. DIY has the potential to bring the house down, but add in the stakes of a title shot and you have the recipe for an exciting fight. Secondly, this prepares MCMG for a confrontation with The Bloodline, as Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are the current WWE Tag Team Champions. It will be interesting to see how MCMG fits into the current Bloodline saga since everything is tied to Roman Reigns at the moment.

Will Roman and Jimmy find a way to help MCMG get the gold out of The Bloodline? Does MCMG end up developing a feud with Tama and Tonga that helps Reigns and Jimmy in some way? We’ll have to wait and see, but MCMG is right in the SmackDown spotlight, and that’s a great place to be right at the start of her WWE career.
