A well-known name in the wrestling world has made a bold prediction in the event of a match against AEW star MJF.

Not only is the former American Champion great on the mic, but he regularly reminds his fans how great he is from start to finish, with standout matches against the likes of Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, and Will Ospreay. In a recent interview about the former world champion, Hall of Famer and former AEW employee Mark Henry said that if he faced MJF, he would add his name to that list and deliver an instant classic with the AEW star.

Look at a movie like Mission Impossible. Oh my God, they can’t get out of that. Oh! Oh! I get it. That doesn’t happen in wrestling anymore. So, let me just face a guy my size and we can do a lot of things to each other, none of it works and then all of a sudden, ooouuu, I slip and fall and land on him and I win. It’s not a compelling story.

If I were to face MJF, it would be the best match anyone has seen this year, because I would make him look like a million dollars, because my goal is to make him look like a million dollars, and then I’ll ask him in return, “Hey, I know how to look like that.” But we have to do this and that, and it’s not your job to lift me up or push and shove me.

Now you can dropkick me in the back and drive me into the post. But if I’m 400 pounds, what does that look like? You grab me and run me into the post? The psychology and understanding of what to do is no longer there.

Henry last fought in the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble and in a singles match in 2017. When asked if there had ever been any talks about a fight in AEW, Henry stated that it was never an option:

No (there were no talks of me competing for AEW). I’m an old, beat up man. I don’t want anyone kicking my ass.

Another WWE Hall of Famer discusses a possible MJF match

When it comes to hypothetical fights with veterans from the wrestling world, the former world champion has been mentioned more than once. During one conversation, another WWE Hall of Famer revealed that a fight against MJF was proposed to them.
