WWE Bad Blood 2024 predictions

WWE Bad blood takes place tonight (Sat., October 5, 2024) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It starts at 5:00 pm ET with the countdown show, moving on to the main course at 6:00 pm ET on Peacock in the US, WWE Network everywhere else or your local cable pay-per-view provider.

Luckily for you Cagesiders, our team of experienced wrestling blowhards are here to find out how the event will turn out with predictions for every match on the card.

Let’s get down to business.

BAD BLOOD PREDICTIONS

Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline

Geno Mrosko: The fact that this is the main event makes you think there’s some kind of big climax planned for it. But then Rhodes told Pat McAfee something and someone is already in Georgia and who knows what will happen. I expect that whatever it is, it will help Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu more than the babyfaces. Selection: The Bloodline

Sean Rueter: We’re betting we’ll smell someone’s cooking at the end of the night, but that will be after the bell – and will serve to set up a few big matches with the winners while also setting up the next few months of internal Bloodline drama. Selection: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

Kyle Decker: If the WWE Champion and his hottest babyface act didn’t make it here, I would be shocked. To achieve that, it would take a huge surprise (like a rock betrayal). Maybe that could happen with the main event, but I see the uneasy alliance of Rhodes and Reigns getting the sync. Selection: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

Claire Elizabeth: It is the beginning of the end for Solo Sikoa’s reign as tribal chief. Selection: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

Cain A. Knight: Roman Reigns doesn’t lose in his first match since WrestleMania 40. The false tribal chief is being held here because protecting Jacob Fatu is more important. Selection: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

Marcus Benjamin: For me it’s not so much about the game, but about what happens after the bell. I know who wins; that much is self-evident. But what does the future hold and what is the next twist in this story between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes? Selection: Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns

M. G0MEZ: Rejoice, because OUR tribal chief is returning! Roman Reigns and his loyal subjects from the Isle of Relevance will once again rejoice in victory, and if our tribal chief wants it, we will drink the tears of the crybaby after the fight. Selection: Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes

Hell in a cell: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

Geno Mrosko: WWE is still babyface territory, as they say, and that means CM Punk is coming here. What’s more interesting is what Punk means when he says he’ll try to restore the good name of the Hell in a Cell match. I’m excited to see it. Selection: CM Punk

Sean Rueter: As someone who was pretty disappointed with the first two matches after a fantastic build-up, I especially hope that Punk wasn’t just making promotional hyperbole when he talked about delivering a classic and returning HiaC to his roots as wrestling’s most feared -Movement to bring back environment. Much less worried about the outcome because – especially if they achieve these things – it doesn’t matter. Both guys are main eventers, and it would be shocking if one of them wasn’t portrayed as such after a loss. Still, I think it’s pretty clear. Selection: CM Punk

Kyle Decker: First of all, I still think this should be continued last. And unless they come up with a rock-level surprise for this tag match, there’s no reason why a blood feud in Hell in a Cell should take a backseat to opening a new chapter in Bloodline history. Still, I think Punk needs the win here more than Drew. He hasn’t pinned/submitted a man on TV since his return. (I’d love an AJ Lee appearance where she kicks Drew in the balls or Larry bites him down, but that’s unlikely in the cell.) Pick: CM Punk

Claire Elizabeth: This will be wonderfully violent, taking every ounce of everything both men have, and in the end it will be the Second City Saint who will win the day. Selection: CM Punk

Cain A. Knight: CM said Drew has to kill him to win and I’m pretty sure that won’t happen. Punk gets the big win and fights for the title with GUNTHER at Survivor Series. Selection: CM Punk

Marcus Benjamin: I’m shocked that this is starting first. However, I can weave that through the story. These two hate each other so much that they can’t wait to kill each other. I’ll buy that. And maybe it’s best to get it out of the way and let everyone follow. Like Sean, I felt let down by their previous outings, so I’m hoping this one does the build justice. Oh, and there will be blood. Selection: CM Punk

M. G0MEZ: Like Cody Rhodes before him, CM Punk’s road to WrestleMania glory must include heartbreak, which means defeat at Bad Blood. I expect Ethan Page to avenge the CW Network Screwjob and give McIntyre the win. Selection: Drew McIntyre

Women’s World Cup: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

Geno Mrosko: I just don’t think Liv is more interesting as a champion. Selection: Rhea Ripley

Sean Rueter: She’ll rip Dirty Dom out of the cage and punish her “ex” even more, but that will be Ripley’s victory for the night. Selection: Liv Morgan

Kyle Decker: Liv is doing the best work of her career and I don’t think she should lose the title to slow that momentum. Rhea will definitely be amazing. There is no need to win back the title yet. Selection: Liv Morgan

Claire Elizabeth: I’m sorry I’m just morally obligated to stand up to the straightest woman in the world. (What else could explain that he is not only attracted to Dominik Mysterio, but that he even goes so far as to steal him as if he were some kind of catch?) Pick: Rhea Ripley

Cain A. Knight: Dominik will try to throw some sort of small weapon out of his shark cage to Liv. The big question is: Will Rhea grab the gun first and win? Selection: Rhea Ripley

Marcus Benjamin: With Dirty Dom stuck in a cage, I think it’s time to give Rhea her belt back and create some tension between the happy couple. Selection: Rhea Ripley

M. G0MEZ: I thought this feud had enough fire to burn all the way to WrestleMania, but the flames died out after Ripley got much of her revenge at Bash in Berlin. Now all Ripley has to do is win the title and move on – and that’s exactly what I see happening. Selection: Rhea Ripley

Women’s Championship: Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley

Geno Mrosko: I don’t think they’re going back to Bayley here, but I think it’s Tiffy time. Pick: Nia Jax, but then Tiffany Stratton

Sean Rueter: I will never complain about Bayley being there PPV PLE, but this feels like matchstick filler. Fingers crossed we get more than just another joke, and it’s time for a big development in Tiffy’s Money in the Bank story. Selection: Nia Jax

Kyle Decker: I think Tiffy is more likely to win the title than Bayley, but I think Nia is making smart money either way. Selection: Nia Jax

Claire Elizabeth:

Cain A. Knight: I don’t think Bayley would have lost the title to Nia Jax at SummerSlam if she had simply won the belt back in their rematch. Selection: Queen Nia Jax

Marcus Benjamin: Nia doesn’t lose the belt here. Their reign is still simmering. This is about making her ready for Tiffany Stratton, and in that regard, a match with Bayley isn’t a bad way to go. Selection: Nia Jax

M. G0MEZ: The money game is Queen vs. Queen, Nia Jax vs. Charlotte Flair. Jax doesn’t lose to Bayley and my watch says it’s not Tiffy Time yet. Selection: Nia Jax

Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor

Geno Mrosko: They’re going to extend the whole thing, so there’s going to be an ending that none of us will be happy with, I’m afraid. Selection: Finn Balor

Sean Rueter: Bringing people to places like this is Finn’s job now. If he’s happy with it (and he obviously is), I’m happy for him. Selection: Damian Priest

Kyle Decker: I think the Terror Twins and Judgment Day have broken up. Priest isn’t as good as Rhea yet, so he could benefit more from defeating Finn than she did over Liv. Selection: Damian Priest

Claire Elizabeth: I can’t help but feel like this needs some sort of wrinkle, an interesting twist. So I’m going to go a little sideways here and predict that Priest will break through and end up with a disqualification as a castigo de excesivo or some similar superficial victory for Finn. Selection: Finn Balor

Cain A. Knight: Priest has been plagued by this damn numbers game so many times in the last few weeks that it’s time for it to end on Judgment Day. Selection: Damian Priest

Marcus Benjamin: Damian Priest has to take this win based on how many hits he took on Monday night. Selection: Damian Priest

M. G0MEZ: Unlike Morgan and Ripley, this feud may not be over yet. Finn Bálor is the one who was done dirty by Damian Priest; An immediate defeat would make him, and therefore the rest of the Last Judgment, appear weak. The priest will ultimately prevail, but not on Saturday night. Selection: Finn Balor.

This is how we see the card play.
