Women’s tennis receives three nominations in the ITA preseason polls

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After successful 2023/24 seasons Holly Fisher And Stephanie Yakoff of Harvard women’s tennis landed in both the singles and doubles rankings of the ITA Division I Women’s Collegiate Tennis National Preseason Rankings.

Fischer, who played nearly the entire doubles season at No. 1, led the Crimsons in singles at No. 93. In her junior season, the London native finished with an overall record of 17-5, including 11 wins while playing at the top spot.

Yakoff earned her first career ranking after a dominant freshman year, landing at No. 105 in the individual rankings. In her first collegiate season, Yakoff earned the second most wins of any Crimson player with an overall record of 18-5.

As a duo, Fischer and Yakoff led the team with 14 wins while playing nearly every match at the No. 1 position. The Crimson pair were successful in doubles in 2024, ranking 62nd in the nation.

While consistently appearing in the top two spots in both singles and doubles throughout the doubles season, the Crimson duos were instrumental in a historic season that produced 19 wins, including a program-best 14-match winning streak, a second-place finish in the league and the first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010.
