A woman was told to question her relationship with her boyfriend after discovering something strange on his phone.

Making relationships work can be difficult. Bringing two people together and making everything mesh is a difficult task, but most of the time we are all willing to try with all our might.

While it’s important to try to make things work, there are certainly some warning signs to look out for.

According to a report by MailOnline, an anonymous woman made a shocking discovery and took to social media to find out if she was overreacting or if her boyfriend had something to explain to her.

And what did she find out? Her boyfriend had been making notes on his phone over the past year about how often they had sex…

The woman described her sex life as “healthy,” so her concern is understandable when she found out he was monitoring her intimate moments.

After gathering all her courage, she confronted her partner, and his reasoning was quite questionable.

She explained: “His explanation was that he was keeping count to make sure we weren’t having any problems in our relationship… and that he was doing enough to keep me happy.

“He… keeps track of everything in his head, like whether he’s done the dishes often enough and whether he’s bought me flowers recently… but sex is the only thing he keeps a written record of.

“Then he said he’s done this with all of his ex-girlfriends and none of them had a problem with it and I’m the only one who did. It just feels weird to me.”

According to the outlet, many women agreed that the list and their boyfriend’s response represented a clear misunderstanding, even going so far as to call his behavior “creepy” and possibly controlling.

One person said: “This is super weird and he is 100 percent lying when he says all his ex girlfriends were okay with this, no they weren’t.”

Another wrote: “Yeah, no, I would leave.”

A third commented: “Using your ex-girlfriends as a reason why you should be okay with it is not…logical. All it takes is one person in a relationship having a problem with something for it to become a problem.”

While many advised the woman to end the relationship immediately, others recommended that she listen to her gut feeling and talk more openly with her partner if she felt uncomfortable.
