Bye: Chiefs, dolphins, rams, Vikings

beginning of the week

DJ Moore vs. Jaguars (London, 9:30 p.m. ET, NFL Network): Moore matched his best stat line of the season, scoring 27.5 fantasy points after averaging 11.9 points in his last four games. He should stay hot across the pond this weekend against a Jags defense that is allowing 147.4 receiving yards and the most fantasy points to opposing perimeter receivers. They also allowed the most PPR points overall to wideouts.

Start them

Marvin Harrison Jr. at the Packers (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Harrison Jr. sucked last week, scoring just 5.6 fantasy points in a win over the 49ers. However, he had scored more than 15 points in his last three games, and a matchup in Green Bay is favorable. Their defense has allowed the fourth-most points to perimeter receivers, including six touchdowns. That could change when CB Jaire Alexander returns, but for now Harrison Jr. is a starter.

Terry McLaurin at the Ravens (1 p.m. ET, CBS): McLaurin has been a fireworks display in recent weeks, scoring more than 18 points in two of his last three games. He should remain in the starting lineup this week as the veteran faces a Ravens defense that has given up the third-most points to perimeter receivers. Last week, that unit gave the duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins a combined 70-plus points. Consider McLaurin a solid No. 2 wideout.

Zay Flowers vs. Commanders (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Flowers has been inconsistent this year, but he has scored 19 or more points in two of his last four games. He also has a favorable matchup against the Commanders this week, as their defense has given up the highest 10 touchdown catches in the league and the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers. This could end up being a high-scoring affair, so Flowers is a good WR2 option this week.

Diontae Johnson vs. Falcons (4:25 p.m. ET, Fox): Johnson, listed as a sit ’em last week, had his worst stats since Andy Dalton took over as Carolina’s quarterback. However, I think he will bounce back this week as he will face an Atlanta defense that allowed Mike Evans to beat them by two touchdowns last week. In total, the Falcons got over 13 points from six different wideouts, including three Hows who scored over 20 fantasy points.

Seat of the week

George Pickens on Raiders (4:05 p.m. ET, CBS): Pickens has been difficult to trust so far this season, scoring fewer than 11 points in three of his last four games, including just 5.6 points against Dallas last week. I would keep that in mind against the Raiders, who averaged 77.6 receiving yards and only gave up one touchdown to perimeter receivers. At best, Pickens will be a risk-reward flex starter in a game with a low overall score of 36.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Set them

Michael Pittman Jr. on Titans (1 p.m. ET, CBS): It’s hard to beat Pittman Jr., who has been on fire the last two weeks, so consider this more of a warning. No team in the league has allowed fewer fantasy points to perimeter receivers this season than the Titans, giving up a meager 44.8 receiving yards per game. Pittman Jr. has also scored 10.2 or fewer fantasy points in three of his last four games against Tennessee, so he could be a disappointment.

Christian Kirk vs. Bears (London, 9:30 p.m. ET, NFL Network): Kirk has posted some good overall results in recent weeks, scoring at least 12.8 points in three straight games. I’m concerned about his snaps, however, as he recorded a season-low 31 in a win over the Colts last week. He also had a poor game against the Bears, who have allowed the ninth-fewest points per game to receivers and no touchdowns to slot receivers this season.

Courtland Sutton vs. Chargers (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): It was hard to trust Sutton as he scored single-digit points in three of his first five games of the season. That includes a stinker of 5.2 points against the Raiders last week. He’s a gamble again this week, as Sutton faces a Chargers defense that is allowing 75.3 receiving yards and just 14.6 fantasy points per game to opposing perimeter receivers. I would leave Sutton out.

Jakobi Meyers vs. Steelers (4:05 p.m. ET, CBS): Meyers has increased his value in recent weeks as he has totaled 44.3 fantasy points over the last three games. Plus, he’s seen at least nine goals in all of those games, which has a lot to do with the whole Davante Adams situation. Regardless, he will just be a risky flex option against the Steelers. Their defense allowed just 88.3 yards per game on the perimeter.
