Lando Norris takes a break from his botched start from pole position today and starts third again, with Sainz and Verstappen on the front row. However, local hero Perez had another bad qualifying yesterday and started at the back in 17th place. We’ll show you everything you need to know about where to watch a free Mexico F1 live stream anywhere in the world.

As also detailed in our free full-season F1 live stream guide, we can help you watch every race this season with options similar to today’s. And if the free live streams aren’t for you, we highly recommend the super-extended highlights show from the UK, which replays almost the entire race – we’ve dedicated a section to this topic later in this article.

The Mexican GP is streaming for free in some countries, and that’s where we come in, as we can show you how to get around geo-restrictions that prevent viewers from watching outside the broadcaster’s home country. We’ll go into more detail below, but if you want to join from abroad, you’ll essentially need a VPN to spoof your viewing device’s location to match the broadcast. The easiest option for a free live stream of this weekend’s Mexican GP is to tune into one of the free streams above via a VPN. If you miss the live racing, the extended UK highlight show we mentioned is a great alternative and comes with full English commentary.

Our favorite option among the best VPN providers is ExpressVPN with a 30-day money back guarantee if you are dissatisfied. Better yet, get three additional months free and save 49% on a subscription. For more information about the security app, see our ExpressVPN review.

We’ve been using these free F1 live streams all season (and last season) and today we’ve double-checked the VPN compatibility with each channel’s programming schedule to make sure the race is on. All races are broadcast on these channels, with the exception of the Austrian variant, as the races switch between ORF1 and Servus TV every weekend – ORF1 has the Mexican F1 live stream.

Will there be expanded Formula 1 highlights in Mexico later?

In the UK, Channel 4 released extended highlights a few hours after the race at 7:30pm ET / 12:30am BST / 1:30am CEST / 7:30am AWST.

While this highlights show typically includes plenty of pre- and post-race discussions and interviews, a stellar portion of the running time is usually devoted to the race itself. For example, the first week’s live race was about 92 minutes, and I clocked the actual race highlights section of the show at 72 minutes. However, this week’s episode is a little shorter than usual at just 80 minutes.

Overall, it’s still my preferred viewing option at the moment compared to a subscription service or watching without English commentary.

You can also watch these highlights on-demand the next day. However, we sometimes notice that this version is a little shorter than the usual Highlight program.

You can tune into the Channel 4 website online and use a VPN as described above to watch from outside the UK.

ESPN covers the remaining Formula 1 races this season, but ESPN+ and ABC also have some of them, including this week’s Mexican GP. If you don’t already have one of these channels, ESPN+ runs on a rolling one-month contract and starts at just $11.99 per month.

For ESPN itself, you may want to consider some cord-cutting options. Sling TV’s Orange plan normally costs $40 per month, but there’s currently a special offer that reduces your first month to $20. FuboTV is another option, offering a 7-day free trial and a $20 discount this week. DirecTV Stream is an even more comprehensive channel selection option, but it starts at $86.98 per month after the free trial.

ESPN Plus (monthly plan)

ESPN Plus is designed for sports, giving subscribers access to live fights in MLB, NHL, NFL, soccer, golf and UFC. You can pay $11 monthly or opt for an annual contract, saving you about $22 per year. There’s also a bundle with Hulu and Disney Plus that offers an even better discount.

Would you like a free option? Channel 4 runs an excellent extended highlights show (see above) a few hours after each race, which is a good alternative given the length of the show. Qualifying highlights are even shown a few hours after the conclusion the day before.

If you really want to see everything liveA Sky Sports deal is your best bet, and this is a great way to get it in glorious 4K too. Sky broadcasts every race weekend, so you don’t have to switch between Sky and channels like TNT like you do with the Premier League.

If you don’t want a traditional TV contract and prefer a monthly option that you can cancel at any time, the Sky Now TV spin-off offers a Sky Sports tier which costs £11.99 for a day pass or £34.99 a month .

The main advantage of Now TV is that it has a rolling one-month contract. However, if you need it every week, getting a proper Sky Sports package is probably a better deal as you’ll get a lot more for your money. Plus, Now TV is still in the dark ages and has the nerve to charge Extra for HD in 2024.
