Where to get a free meal in Tampa Bay after Hurricane Milton

For Tampa Bay residents affected by Hurricane Milton, state and local governments and private charities have joined together to provide free food and supplies. You can get a meal and other resources here on Sunday, October 13th.

Pinellas

The following distribution sites are distributing free prepackaged meals and water to residents affected by Hurricane Milton:

  • Dunedin: City Hall, 737 Louden Ave. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Gulfport: 25th Ave. S. and Beach Ave. Open Sunday, October 13th, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Redington Shores: 18200 Gulf Blvd. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Treasure Island: Community center, 1 parking space
  • St Pete Beach: Community Center, 701 Boca Ciega Drive. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • St Petersburg: Frank Pierce Recreation Center, 2000 Seventh St. S. Open Sunday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • St Petersburg: Childs Park Recreation Center, 4301 13th Ave. S. Open Sunday, October 13th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • St Petersburg: Roberts Recreation Center, 1246 50th Ave. N. Open Sunday, October 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

In Pinellas, Operation BBQ Relief is offering free meals at the Walmart at 10237 Bay Pines Blvd. in St. Petersburg from 12 p.m., while stocks last. They will also be offering meals at Glam Squad Bar, 5208 66th St. N in St. Petersburg, from 5 p.m. until supplies run out.

The state’s Hope Bus, which distributes food, water and other supplies, will be stationed at Tangerine Plaza, 1794 22nd St. S in St. Petersburg on Sunday, Oct. 13, from noon to 5 p.m.

Hillsborough

Hillsborough County has set up food distribution sites at four locations with the help of the National Guard. All four locations are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or while supplies last and closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m

The locations are:

  • Elev8 Fun, Citrus Park Mall, 7902 Citrus Park Town Center Mall, Tampa.
  • Hillsborough Community College Brandon, 10451 Nancy Watkins Drive, Tampa.
  • Walmart, 9205 Gibsonton Drive, Gibsonton.
  • 431 19th Ave. NE, Ruskin.

On Sunday, October 13, Feeding Tampa Bay will distribute food at three locations in Hillsborough County from noon to 2 p.m. These locations are:

  • Hillsborough Community College SouthShore, 551 24th St. NE, Ruskin.
  • Causeway Center, 3624 Causeway Blvd., Tampa.
  • Harvest Hope Park, 13704 N 20th St., Tampa.

The city of Tampa has also opened distribution sites that distribute prepared foods, ice and water. Locations are open all week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Gandy Boat Ramp, 5108 W Gandy Blvd., Tampa
  • Al Lopez Park, 4810 N Himes Ave., Tampa

Opened by the City of Tampa, these two locations will distribute ready-to-eat meals and hygiene kits and will be open Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Babe Zaharias Golf Course, 11412 N Forest Hills Drive, Tampa
  • Copeland Park, 11001 N 15th St., Tampa

Certain Walmart locations in Tampa Bay also offer items like free ice cream, food and water. The full list of participating stores and when can be found here. On Sunday, October 13, Operation BBQ Relief will be offering free meals at the Walmart location at 6192 Gunn Highway starting at noon until they run out of food.

The state’s Hope Bus, which distributes food, water and other supplies, will also be stationed at Mission Hill Church, 10002 N 56th St. in Temple Terrace, on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 2 to 5 p.m .

Pasco

Pasco County has a resource center to assist with disaster recovery at the Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson. Food, water and tarps are available at this location while supplies last. The location is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Operation BBQ Relief is offering free meals at the Walmart at 7631 Gall Blvd. in Zephyrhills. Food will be available from noon until the end.
