When is early voting in Cumberland County and where do I vote?

Early voting for the November 5th general election begins in North Carolina on October 17th and continues through November 2nd.

If you miss your chance to vote early, you can cast your vote on November 5th, Election Day.

Elections in which Cumberland County voters will cast their ballots include President, the North Carolina General Assembly, the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners and the Cumberland County Board of Education.

Here’s what voters in Cumberland County need to know before voting early.

Where are the early voting locations in Cumberland County?

Voters in Cumberland County can visit any of the following websites during early voting. Note that the Board of Elections office on Fountainhead Lane in Fayetteville is not an early voting location this year.

What is the early voting schedule in Cumberland County?

Voters can cast their votes during early voting on three Saturdays and one Sunday. Early voting will take place at early voting or one-stop locations on the following dates:

  • 17th-18th Oct.: 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m
  • Oct 19: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m
  • Oct. 20: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m
  • 21st-25th Oct.: 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m
  • Oct. 26: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m
  • Oct 28 – Nov 1: 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m
  • November 2nd: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m

Where can I check my registration status?

Check your registration status at vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup.

You will also see the polling station assigned to you and your sample ballot paper for the current election.

Do I have to show ID?

Yes, a photo ID is required to vote in North Carolina. For more information about acceptable forms of voter ID, visit ncsbe.gov/voting/voter-id.

When is the last day to register to vote?

The deadline for registering to vote by post is October 11th at 5:00 p.m. Registration must be postmarked by 5:00 p.m. that day. The last day to register to vote online is also October 11th.

Anyone who misses the deadline can still register and vote or make changes to their registration at any early voting site in Cumberland County during the early voting period. This ends on November 2nd.
