What will the weather be like in Denver today? | Weather

Early morning showers will give way to a return of sunshine around the Denver metro area later Monday afternoon, but overall the day will be mostly cloudy as remnants of the weekend’s storm emerge.





According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver residents can expect a 40% chance of rain, mostly before 10 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy then gradually become sunny, with a high near 67. West-northwest winds will blow between 7 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

“Rain and snow showers are expected to continue in the highlands today through late morning,” the NWS said. “A winter weather advisory has been issued as 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected for elevations above 9,000 feet in the western Front Range Mountains.” Commuting conditions this morning could be slippery, particularly in mountain passes and near the Eisenhower -Johnson Tunnels.

Tonight will be clear, with a low around 44. West-northwest winds 7 to 9 mph, becoming south-southwesterly this evening. Wind gusts can reach up to 15 miles per hour.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming increasingly calm.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 74. Light and variable wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Wind gusts can reach up to 15 miles per hour.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 74.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high around 70°.
