Anyone else holding their breath counting down the days until September? I’ve heard the term “False Fall,” and yes, that’s exactly where we are right now. So even though I’m in the sweater mood… I’m still reaching for t-shirts and tanks these days. Well, if that hasn’t felt like the longest week ever. No? Anyone else? Chris and I agreed that Monday night felt like Thursday in every way. So yeah. Happy Friday, finally! I’m helping out in the little ones’ class today (YES, did we talk about Elle being in the cutest preschool program for two-year-olds ever? No way…), so I’m going to make this super short.

Amy said so. (Nobody is surprised.) These are the only jeans I wore this week, and then I washed them after 4 days of wear — just because I spilled my matcha on her — and wore them again fresh out of the wash. So yeah. GOOD. The Gap homepage is the kind of energy I need this Friday (Make sure you have the little volume knob turned up!). I always said that in another life I would have been a dancer and done funky dances like the ones on the Gap website (and travelled around the world with the Eras Tour, naturally) and I am so excited when I see such a fun and unique choreography. I take her “…relaxing simply means freeing yourself from all the pressure you normally put on yourself“-feeling into the weekend and I allow myself to RELAX before the school routine starts again.

I think big sales are quiet for a moment before we start the Labor Day promotions, but I dug up a few important gems: the famous boots that have been last rainy season (and have literally been sitting in my cart for a few weeks) are 25% off, and the St. Tropez Crewneck we’ve all been eyeing for a long time is finally 25% off (also on sale here – or GASPING an even better discount is here!).

ONE: I hesitated for months to try these jeans because there are no inseam options and I was convinced they wouldn’t fit my figure… I mean, the model has them fitted super low to get a regular length and these are considered high rise jeans (LOL). While I was right, they are not long at the top of my foot, the cropped length with the wide leg silhouette is AMAZING. These are super lightweight and have the most flattering waistband that combined with the wide leg makes it look like I have a waist?! No idea. But I do know that these are 30% off this weekend and if you were curious too…this is your cue to do it.

Hey, Friday! Well, school starts next Tuesday, so I guess that means the official/unofficial end of summer. I’m hoping for a cozy long summer…I’m not done with this weather yet! Usually this is the time of year when I get going around the house, and I’ve started a decluttering project. So far, I’ve cleared stuff out of the fridge (I had no idea it would be so rewarding) and most of the bathrooms are done. It’s even inspired my daughter to work on her room. I knowledge. Magical. Of course I’m excited that my child will be going back to school soon, but I also love the energy this time of year.

Sales. I’m still a fan of what Gap is doing right now. This soft looking denim shirt on sale would be a good addition to the more structured one I’ve been Life lately. And while I love my giant Stanley 40oz Quenchers, this 30oz Iceflow Flip Straw Tumbler is my new best friend. It has a carry handle on top and is just more handheld for going to Barre3, adventures, etc. But it still has a straw, which is a must for me. (Use code TME20 to get 20% off this guy!) Oh, and our favorite striped linen pants are only $44 right now instead of $60. I’ve been living in those too (I used this little quick-hem tool from Amazon.)

I’ve been living in these soft, comfy, cool cargo pants for the past two months. And they’re on sale in some other pretty colors at Nordstrom for under $50! They’re adjustable at the waist and ankles and made of a soft, cotton-like material that’s so great to wear. I’ve worn them on the plane, horseback riding in Aspen, and running errands – they feel trendy but not fussy. LOVE.

Jess’ Top Sale Picks

Greetings from Sky Valley, GA! Jon and I drove 13 hours to spend about a week with my parents in the Smoky Mountains. It is So beautiful up here. This is our second time doing this and it has been a highlight of the year. It is so relaxing and peaceful and there is so much natural beauty to enjoy. Jon and I are looking for a waterfall trail – we have been on three so far – and tomorrow we are visiting two of the local flea markets. I am incredibly excited to get my hands on some fun little vintage knickknacks!

A denim trench coat is one of the pieces I most want for my fall and winter wardrobe and I am obsessed with this one at Gap (30% off at checkout). I am definitely buying it today. I love these MOTHER jeans and they’re a whopping 50% off at Revolve right now! The dark blue denim is perfect for fall and winter styling and as always, I can’t resist the unique carpenter-style seams on the thighs. They don’t have much stretch so I ordered a size larger than my usual size and they fit perfectly.
