“We just walked our talk”: Suryakumar Yadav is elated after the team executed their plans perfectly

NEW DELHI: India captain Suryakumar Yadav expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance after they executed their plans flawlessly with a comfortable seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the first T20I in Gwalior on Sunday.
With this win, India took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, with the second and third games played in Delhi on October 9 and Hyderabad on October 12.
“We simply tried to demonstrate our abilities and we simply implemented what we decided in the team meeting. The way the boys showed their character on the field when they played on a new ground for the first time and the way we fought showed our character,” Surya said during the presentation after the game.

Dough Nitish Kumar Reddy and fast bowler Mayank Yadav delivered decent performances on their debut and captain Suryakumar was excited to see them in action in the upcoming games.
He also highlighted areas where the team would focus on improving before the next game.
“Very excited and looking forward to seeing them in the next games. It’s a good headache to be on the field and have extra bowling options. You always learn something new with every game. There will be a few areas that can be improved.” “We will sit down and talk about it before the next game,” he added.

India’s Arshdeep Singh and the returning Varun Chakravarthy dismantled Bangladesh’s batting line-up and paved the way for a comfortable win for the hosts.
Left-arm pacer Arshdeep and spinner Chakravarthy took three wickets each and restricted Bangladesh to a modest 127. India confidently chased down the target with 49 balls remaining in Gwalior to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
The win was India’s first T20 triumph on home soil since winning the T20 World Cup title in Barbados last June.
