Walmart Back-To-School Tech Sale – $159 Ultrawide Monitor, $599 Gaming Laptop, and More

Walmart’s back-to-school sale is in full swing, giving you the chance to snag hundreds of products at some of the lowest prices of the year. Not only will you find pencils and notebooks at discounted prices, but a handful of gaming laptops, tablets, earbuds, and other tech gadgets are also included in the deal. Many of these are available for same-day pickup, too, while all are covered by Walmart’s free 30-day return policy.

Walmart has a range of laptops on offer, many of which are affordable productivity notebooks that could be great for students. You get a spacious 16-inch Asus Vivobook with an Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for just $519 (was $699). For something cheaper, check out the Lenovo IdeaPad 1which features a 15.6-inch display, an Intel Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. It’s on sale for $379 (was $649).

As for gaming, Walmart is offering an HP Victus gaming laptop for just $599, which is pretty much the lowest price you can find on a gaming laptop in 2024. Equipped with an Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD, this HP Victus is geared more toward indie games and less graphically demanding experiences. Don’t expect it to perform well on the latest AAA games, but the RAM is expandable to 16GB. Adding an additional 8GB of RAM is cheap and easy. This Victus model features a 144Hz 15.6-inch display with anti-glare technology.

For a more powerful gaming laptop, the Asus ROG Strix G17 is on sale for $250 off. The ROG Strix G17 comes with an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It also features a massive 17.3-inch display with a 240Hz refresh rate.

In addition to laptops, you will also find 34-inch curved ultrawide monitor from LG on sale for only $249. This ultrawide monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 is mainly geared towards productivity, as its 100 Hz refresh rate is slower than most gaming monitors. For gaming, there is 31.5-inch ultrawide curved monitors from MSI and Acer on sale for only $199 and $159 respectively.

If you want a decent monitor and want to spend as little as possible, you can find a 23.8-inch Acer Nitro IPS monitor for only $89 (was $129). And despite the low price, you still get 1080p resolution and a 75Hz refresh rate. With support for AMD Radeon FreeSync to prevent screen tearing, it’s pretty well equipped for a monitor in this price range.

Looking for a tablet for teens? Amazon’s Kindle Fire Kids tablets are certainly the most popular, but prices have been steadily increasing over the past few years. If you don’t want to spend $110 on a Fire Kids tablet, check out the Android-based Contixo children’s tablet. This 7-inch tablet is available in six different colors and currently costs just $50. It comes with a protective case, offers up to six hours of battery life for long car rides, and has 15 educational apps pre-installed. Since it runs Android, you can also download apps from the Play Store.

Other notable deals include the Logitech Wireless Keyboard + Mouse Combo for $18 (down from $22), the budget-friendly Onn 11-inch tablet (128GB) for $139 (down from $169), and the Veatool Wireless Earbuds for $20 (down from $100).
