Victim identified in NW OKC convenience store death

OKLAHOMA CITY — A clerk who was stabbed at a 7-11 convenience store in northwest OKC on Friday has been identified by police.

Jaedynn Anthony, 18, was found with stab wounds by customers who came into the store at Wilshire and N. Council Road in the dark in the early hours of Friday, Oct. 18.

Patrol officers were dispatched to the store around 2:45 a.m. in response to customers’ 911 calls, according to the news release from Sgt. Dillon Quirk of the Oklahoma City Police Department.

When they arrived, they found Anthony with stab wounds “consistent with homicide.” Police pronounced her dead inside the store, as we reported Friday in this previous coverage:

Investigations are ongoing

This death is considered the No. 71 homicide for the city of Oklahoma City in 2024.

As their investigation began, investigators saw a video of a person entering the store, stabbing Jaedynn Anthony and then “fling on foot,” according to a news release from Sgt. Dillon Quirk with OKCPD.

UPDATE – The following image is a still from store security camera video posted to OKCPD’s social media. Investigators believe this is the person who committed the crime.

There were no guards posted and Anthony was the only employee in the store at the time.
