The star-studded U.S. women’s relay team, featuring Gabby Thomas and Sha’Carri Richardson, as well as Melissa Jefferson and Twanisha Terry, easily took first place with a season-best time of 41.78.

Great Britain took second place with a time of 41.85 and Germany achieved its season’s best time of 41.97 and came third.

Thomas ran a good third stage and Richardson took the win by running the final stage in rainy conditions.

The U.S. women finished second behind a star-studded Jamaican team at the Tokyo Olympics, but Jamaica was without all of its stars, including Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Shericka Jackson and Elaine Thompson-Herah, due to various injuries.

The US women were by far the better team on the track, making all the relay changes on their way to the Olympic gold medal.
