A brand of refrigerated chip dip is being recalled due to mold fears, according to an urgent bulletin from the FDA.

Grocery store Lunds & Byerlys announced a voluntary recall of its Lone Star Dip on Friday.

Approximately 500 containers of the dip were removed from store shelves throughout the greater Minneapolis area and Saint Paul, Minnesota, where the stores are based.

According to the FDA, no one has reported getting sick from eating this particular dip.

According to the bulletin, store employees were the first to notice the mold, prompting them to notify Lunds & Byerlys’ quality assurance team.

Health officials say one of the most comprehensive recent recalls involved a brand of ice cream cones that contained undeclared allergens.

The FDA said last Friday that Colorado-based Hammond’s Candies voluntarily recalled its dark chocolate-filled mini wafer cones because they contained undeclared milk.

The agency said: “People who have an allergy or severe hypersensitivity to milk are at risk of suffering a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.”

The 4-ounce bags were distributed in retail stores in 39 states and had a best-by date of March 20, 2025 and May 20, 2025.

The FDA announced that the 8-ounce “Great Value” brand apple juice in six-pack PET plastic bottles had elevated levels of “inorganic arsenic.”

Walmart announced a shocking recall in late August that removed more than 9,500 cases of apple juice.

It was feared that cartons of the major retailer’s Great Value apple juice contained elevated levels of “inorganic arsenic.”

The recalled juices have a best before date of December 28, 2024 and a UPC code of 0-78742-29655-5.

In the USA there are stores in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio , Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia sold the recalled apple juice.
