CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The new season has begun, and the first home game will be this Thursday in Chapel Hill. At the same time, the North Carolina women’s soccer team has announced its promotional plan for the 2024 season.

The Tar Heels will host Georgia for their first home game on Thursday, August 22, at Dorrance Field. Season tickets are available Here and single game tickets can be purchased here.

The Tar Heels finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 13-2-8, including a 5-0-5 record in ACC play and a berth in the NCAA quarterfinals. Six players earned All-ACC honors, four received All-Region nods and two earned All-America recognition.

Following the season, six UNC players were selected in the 2024 NWSL Draft, an NWSL record. Carolina had three first-round drafts – including the No. 1 and 2 overall selections – setting a new NWSL record for most players selected by a single school.
