  • 📲 Sonos Ace’s signature TV Audio Swap feature now works with Android phones

  • 🔊 The headphones can be connected wirelessly to Beam Gen 1 & Gen 2 and Sonos Ray soundbars

  • ⬇️ Make sure you update your Sonos app to the new iOS and Android version

  • 🏅The Shortcut has its Sonos Ace review with a perfect 5/5 star rating

The Sonos Ace was a nearly perfect headphone in Our rating and now a software update has fixed two of its most glaring flaws.

The Sonos Ace Launched for the first time with a unique TV Audio Swap feature that lets you wirelessly connect the headphones to a soundbar to privately listen to any TV audio, including connected consoles, set-top boxes, and Blu-Ray players. The only problem was that it was limited to iPhone and iPad users and required purchasing the most expensive Sonos Arc soundbar at $800.

This week, however, Sonos updated its Sonos app so that Ace owners can now connect their headphones to any Sonos Beam or Ray soundbar. Additionally, Android users can finally set up TV Audio Swap on their phones.

This update should lower the financial barrier to entry into the Sonos Ace. The product as a whole also feels more complete now, as the only upcoming feature is TrueCinema, which is due to arrive by the end of this year.
