Trump meets with longtime Packers quarterback Brett Favre at the Resch Center

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) — Former President Donald Trump returned to the Green Bay Area on Wednesday.

Trump held a rally at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre joined him.

Armed Forces Drive was closed early Wednesday morning.

Beginning at 10 a.m., Lombardi Avenue was closed to traffic between Holmgren Way and Oneida Street. This will remain in effect until Trump’s motorcade leaves the Resch Center and the crowd has left the area.

Kristi Johnston, director of rapid response for the Democratic Coordinated Campaign in Wisconsin, released the following statement ahead of Trump’s rally in Ashwaubenon:

“Donald Trump is becoming increasingly unstable and unhinged, focused on himself and his own grievances rather than American families. That’s why Green Bay State Republican Senator Robert Cowles has joined dozens of other Republicans, independents and Democrats from across the state to support Vice President Harris. A second Trump term would strip away our reproductive rights and increase costs for middle-class families by nearly $4,000 per year – that’s not what Green Bay voters expect.”

Trump has been to Wisconsin several times this month and most recently held a rally in Green Bay at the KI Convention Center in April.

Around the same time Wednesday, Vice President Kamala Harris will host a rally on the UW-Madison campus at 5:30 p.m

Later this week, both presidential candidates will hold dueling rallies in Milwaukee again on Friday in Wisconsin.

Earlier this week, Wisconsin hosted Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.

On Halloween, former President Bill Clinton will be in Fox Valley on behalf of the Harris-Walz campaign. A specific location and time were not announced.
