Trump is holding a rally in Raleigh the day before Election Day

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Candidate visits have been frequent in all swing states, and here in North Carolina, those visits are expected to continue through Election Day.

In a press release Friday, former President Donald Trump’s campaign team announced that he would attend a rally in Raleigh on Monday morning at the JS Dorton Arena at the state fairgrounds.

Trump’s campaign website says the event will begin at 10 a.m. That’s the same time his campaign said he should give his speech. As of 3 p.m. Friday, the campaign has not said what other speakers to expect at the event.

The arena doors open at 6 a.m. at 4285 Trinity Road in Raleigh.

In addition to Trump’s upcoming appearance in Raleigh, his vice presidential running mate, Sen. JD Vance, will appear in Selma on Friday evening.

The Trump campaign’s message to potential attendees said, “Kamala Harris has ruined North Carolina’s economy, but President Trump will fix it.” They added, “Harris’ policies are failing North Carolinians. President Trump is determined to put money back in their pockets and protect their future.”

In response to the rally announcement, the Harris campaign said: “Trump is fighting because North Carolinians across the state reject his extreme Project 2025 agenda.”

“Trump wants to strip us of our basic freedoms and raise costs for North Carolina families – but voters are turning out in droves because we are ready for a new path forward with Vice President Harris that will make it easier for hardworking people to make ends meet to come and thrive,” the Harris campaign added.
