FORECAST

Good morning! A quick check of the radar this morning shows a few quick showers, mostly along and east of I-35. Splashes or a quick splash and spray shower are possible during the morning commute and into the early afternoon (20%). Otherwise, it will be a mostly cloudy day, while gusty winds are forecast from the south. This will pump in more moisture from the Gulf, so expect a wet day. Temperatures should reach the mid 80s.

Expect it to be similar tomorrow except we may get more clearing as the afternoon progresses. This will lead to warmer temperatures, with some spots approaching 90 again Wednesday afternoon.

It’s late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning when some changes begin to take hold. We will be keeping a close eye on the front as it moves into the Hill Country before dawn on Thursday. A thin line of showers and a few storms will continue along the front. The front will stall but will get close enough to bring some rain to San Antonio during the first half of the day. The chance of rain will be highest (40%) Wednesday night into early Thursday. While we can’t rule out a few showers during trick-or-treating time, rain chances should decrease at this point. With the front blocked, it’s still warm for trick-or-treaters, with temperatures in the 80s.

A stall front is expected to bring a thin line of showers and storms Thursday morning. (Copyright 2024 by KSAT – All rights reserved.)
WHAT WE SEE

There are some signs that we could see an end to the very warm weather with a cool front in the first full week of November. That’s still a few days away, but highs in the upper 70s are in sight, and 60s are even possible if forecast trends continue. We’ll keep you updated!!
