2 August – Nearly two years after announcing his wedding to girlfriend Melinda Wang, Tony Yang is thrilled to finally be able to hold his wedding reception.

The Taiwanese actor and his wife celebrated their love with a 45-table banquet at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on July 31, with guests including celebrity friends such as Ruby Lin, Joseph Chang, Chang Chen, Shawn Yue and Janine Chang.

Since Tony is a devout Christian, a church ceremony was held before the reception, with the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Anah, serving as flower girl.

Speaking to the media about Melinda, he said: “I wanted to be surprised, so I deliberately didn’t look at her in her wedding dress before the ceremony. When she walked down the aisle with her father, I saw it for the first time.”

“I was very surprised and moved at the time,” he added with a laugh.

On the other hand, Tony admitted that he wants to have as many children as possible with Melinda because he loves children very much.

Tony and Melinda announced that they registered their marriage on September 9, 2020, with a wedding photoshoot that he captioned “9.9.” The news came after they announced that they were expecting their first child in May of the same year.
