Tonight you can enjoy a FREE movie at the Maine Savings Amphitheater

A FREE outdoor movie? Not a bad way to start the weekend!

This summer, it’s rare for a night to be without a concert on the Bangor Waterfront, especially on a Friday. So bring your family together tonight because Bangor Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the Maine Savings Amphitheater to host a FREE screening of the Disney hit “Encanto.”

Gates open to the public tonight at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. And best of all, there’s plenty of room on the LL Bean lawn to stretch out and enjoy the show on the big screen.

Plus, it’s a great opportunity to check out all the new improvements to the concert venue during your stay!

Food and drinks can be purchased during the film. Bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted.

You may bring a blanket to sit on, however lawn chairs are not permitted at the venue.

Guests enter the building through the northwest entrance, directly across from Dunkin.

Encanto is about a multigenerational Colombian family, the Madrigals, led by a matriarch whose children and grandchildren, with the exception of Mirabel Madrigal, are miraculously given magical gifts that they use to help the people of their rural community, called Encanto. When Mirabel learns that the family is losing their magic, she sets out to find out why and save the family and the house.

“Encanto” grossed $96.1 million in the United States and Canada and $160.4 million worldwide, for a worldwide total of $256.5 million.

It’s the perfect Friday night movie to watch outdoors with the whole family for FREE!
