Today’s “Wordle” No. 1,223 Clues, Hints and Answers for Thursday, October 24th

If you want to maintain your goal Wordle Winning streak – or the hope of starting a new one –Newsweek Here you will find all the information you need.

Years after developing the original concept, Welsh-born Wardle perfected it Wordle during the COVID-19 lockdowns before opening to the public in October 2021.

After his public debut Wordle exploded from 90 users on November 1, 2021 to 300,000 on January 2, 2022, according to Statista. The New York Times purchased it shortly thereafter for an undisclosed seven-figure sum and it became the most popular game on the release.

Every day, Wordle Users try to guess a new five-letter word and are given six tries. In these six guesses, you use a specific color system to figure out which letters appear in your chosen word of the day.

When a player guesses a letter that is in the correct location, the tile turns green. If the letter appears in the word but not where the user guessed it, it turns yellow. If the letter does not appear in the word at all, the tile turns gray.

Language expert and Babbel Live teacher Noël Wolf explained that choosing a strong first word is key Wordle Success. Players should try to incorporate the most common letters into five-letter English words: E, A, R, O, T, L, I, S, and N.

“Using these letters increases your chances of finding confirmed letters immediately,” she said Newsweek.

“Some of my favorite starting words are IRATE, SAUTE, ALERT and TALES. They contain a good mix of vowels and consonants that appear frequently, giving you a solid foundation to build on.”

The next step is to remember that words actually have repeated letters and consider double letters like EE, LL, OO.

Wolf added: “It’s also a good idea to consider homophones, words that sound the same but have different meanings, such as ‘there and you’.”
