We are approaching the three-year anniversary of Wordle introduced to the world, and the game shows continue to be very popular.

The daily word puzzle was invented by Josh Wardle, a Welsh-born, New York City-based software developer. He initially developed the game for his girlfriend, who loved solving word puzzles, but made the game public in October 2021 at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

The New York Times then purchased the game from Wardle in early 2022 and it remains the most played game on his app and website, closely followed by another word game in second place. Connections.

How to play “Wordle”.

The premise of Wordle is quite simple, but don’t let the simple rules fool you into thinking that the game is always a breeze.

Players must solve a five-letter mystery word using a maximum of six guesses. They do this by typing a word and working out the answer through a process of elimination.

A color-coded tile system helps them do this. A green tile means you have the right letter and it is in the right position, while a yellow tile means the letter appears in the word but is in the wrong place. Finally, a gray tile indicates that the letter does not appear in the word at all.

Everyone uses their own tactics to solve the word game, but to help you, Newsweek asked artificial intelligence service ChatGPT what it thought was the best way to solve the word puzzle. It was suggested to choose a starting word with a good mix of common letters “like A, E and consonants like R, T, S”.

“This helps maximize your chances of identifying letters early,” it says, and that helps “maximize your initial information.”
