TNF: Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins – Live thread and match information

Our Miami Dolphins will play their second game of the 2024 season tonight against their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills. Although this is a short week for the Phins, it should benefit Miami that they have not yet traveled and will host the game tonight. While Miami is fresh off their home win against the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-17, the Bills also picked up a home win against the Arizona Cardinals 34-28 last Sunday.

The Dolphins have more or less been inferior to the Bills over the last few years. A win tonight would go a long way toward winning the division this year and showing the rest of the world that Miami is no longer a sideshow but is the team to beat in the AFC East. The Dolphins have lost 13 of their last 15 games against the Bills and some of the injuries, most notably those of Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane, will not help their efforts, but the Phins need a win tonight to rewrite the script going forward.

—My choice: Miami Dolphins have to cover. Miami comes with an offense that struggled in the first week but seemed to find its stride in the second half, as did its defense. The Bills, who also won at home last Sunday, allowed 28 points against an Arizona Cardinals team and an offense that most don’t consider to be very good. Buffalo is also without its slot corner, a weakness that Tua and the Dolphins will be happy to exploit tonight.
