Bloomfield Township officers searched Bloomfield Hills High School after police received a threat of violence on Wednesday, Oct. 16, but found no weapons or other evidence that a threat was carried out.

According to a release from the Bloomfield Township Police Department, the threat came via 988 National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline around 12:30 p.m.

“Although we are still in the very early stages of this investigation, initial information leads us to believe that this was a ‘swatting’ incident,” the press release states.
