Modern Family ended four years ago after entertaining the world with heartwarming humor and life wisdom for over a decade. But that hasn’t stopped fans of the ABC Hit to stick with the series, considering how millions of people have continued to watch it throughout the pandemic and over the past few years. During a recent interview with diversity, Sofia Vergara expressed her joy at returning to the sitcom one day and even went so far as to suggest producing a television movie to make her dream come true:

“I would die to be on that set. It would be so much fun. Maybe a TV movie? I always joke with him (Ed O’Neill), ‘Ed, don’t die. Because if we do the sequel, it’s going to be some time and you’re the oldest of us. You can’t be dead!'”

Modern Family told the story of Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill), his children and his grandchildren. With an ensemble that Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet And Sarah HylandThe comedy was a huge success and one of the most popular sitcoms of recent years. Due to the Modern Family Over the course of eleven seasons on television, viewers were able to see the younger members of the cast grow up right before their eyes.

Since Modern Family ended, viewers couldn’t let go of these beloved characters, and fans took to social media to voice their desire to see the Pritchetts again. A spin-off series focused on Cam, Mitchell and Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) was discussed, but the project never moved forward. Hopefully the broadcaster will take note of the demand for a continuation of the story from both the cast and viewers.
