Labor Day discounts are hot. Here’s one for Apple’s awesome MagSafe charging pad. It’s normally $39, but this Amazon sale. That’s a 26 percent savings and close to a record low price.

If you’ve never tried a charging pad, you’re in for a treat. There’s a reason this thing is on our list of the best. All you have to do is plug it in and place the device directly on it, and it’ll start charging thanks to the magic of inductive charging.

Apple’s MagSafe charging pad works with virtually any Apple handset from the iPhone 8 onwards, although the internal magnetic locking mechanism only works with the iPhone 12 and above. That just means it’ll be a little harder to place older handsets. Plus, the charging pad isn’t tied to phones. It powers the charging cases that come with most AirPods earbuds.

We loved the strong internal magnets, which make placing the phone a breeze. The only real downside is that the cable that runs from the pad to the outlet is rather short, so you may need to move some furniture around or use an extension cord.

The original price of $39 was also a sticking point, as no-name products are much cheaper. That changed with this sale. Why buy a third-party charging pad for $25 when you can get the original for $29?
