RICHMOND, Va. (August 15, 2024) – The Coastal Athletic Association’s 2024-25 season begins Thursday with 11 of the 20 women’s soccer games played during the sport’s stand-alone weekend to open fall competition.

Women’s football | schedule
Thursday’s 11-game schedule begins with a matinee of perennial mid-major contenders from the Northeast, as Hofstra visits reigning MAAC champion Quinnipiac (2:30 p.m., ESPN+). The evening schedule features three teams visiting Power 4 opponents: reigning CAA champion Towson opens the season at #RV/23 Virginia (6 p.m., ACCNX), Campbell visits Blacksburg to play Virginia Tech (6 p.m., ACCNX) and Delaware — which opened the 2023 season with a power conference win over Syracuse — faces West Virginia in Morgantown (7 p.m., ESPN+). William & Mary begins the year at 2023 Big South champion Radford (7 p.m., ESPN+), preseason CAA favorite Monmouth heads to Philadelphia to face Temple (7 p.m., ESPN+), Hampton begins 2024 at Mount St. Mary’s (7 p.m., ESPN+) and UNCW opens the year at Charlotte (7 p.m., ESPN+).

Three league members will open 2024 at home: Stony Brook hosts Colgate (6 p.m., FloFC), Charleston welcomes South Carolina State (7 p.m., FloFC) and Elon faces George Mason (7 p.m., FloFC).

Drexel will open its season on Friday when the Dragons visit Saint Joseph’s. Northeastern will be the last team to begin its 2024 season when the Huskies face Boston University in one of three Sunday night games (6 p.m., ESPN+) in town. Hampton (vs. Howard, 3 p.m., FloFC) and UNCW (vs. UNCG, 7 p.m., FloFC) will be at home along with Campbell, while Stony Brook visits Maryland (1 p.m., B1G+) and Delaware travels to defending Patriot League champion Bucknell (1 p.m., ESPN+) to cap off the road games.
