‘The View’: Ana Navarro says the Harris-Walz campaign ‘released the Kraken’ by sending Obama on the campaign trail

Former President Barack Obama is rooting for Kamala Harris, and The View hosts are thrilled to see it. Ana Navarro even compared it to the unleashing of the “Kraken” on Friday.

“I danced happily last night and watched Barack Obama campaign for Kamala Harris,” moderator Joy Behar said before the discussion. “He used that trademark, you know, swagger, to remind voters why he served two terms as president and why Trump needs to serve time in prison.”

The hosts noted that Obama’s deployment was almost certainly a strategic maneuver to appeal specifically to male voters, but they understood that logic.

“When I saw Obama, I felt like, oh, they released the Kraken,” Navarro said. “He was just incredibly effective. He’s so funny. His comedic timing is so impressive and the way he can explain things with it – so blunt but funny at the same time. It’s just so effective.”

However, she added that she would like to see more town halls with Harris herself so that the vice president can speak directly to the demographic that needs her instead of sending someone she already identifies with.

“(Town halls are) very substantive. The questions are very varied,” explained Navarro. “And I also thought, you know, okay, so we shouldn’t just send Obama to talk to black men, Latinos to talk to Latinos, Bill Clinton to talk to Southerners. Kamala Harris needs to talk to these people.”
