The spiked truck is determined to keep going

It’s always interesting to see when criminals are stubbornly determined to run from the police, no matter how hopeless the situation. On one hand, it’s great to see people making an effort, but we wish they were doing it for something legitimate. Imagine what these suspects could accomplish if they showed such determination in legal activities like a real career.

Watch a determined Honda Civic driver flee from police.

This guy who won’t stop his truck for the North Little Rock Police Department under any circumstances is just a criminal. Even after a cop spikes his tires, the guy just keeps driving. Why should you let something like a flat tire slow you down?

The officer leading the pursuit also drives over the stop stick that one of his colleagues has thrown to him. He is supposed to report by radio that a spike attempt is imminent so that the leading pursuing vehicle can fall back and avoid exactly this situation.

This officer is clearly not so determined, because he breaks off the pursuit with a flat tire. You can hear him being upset on the dashcam footage, but help is on the way.

Meanwhile, the same thing happens to the next officer in charge. Looks like the North Little Rock Police Department needs some additional training.

When the Arkansas State Police show up, the situation takes a dramatic turn. Two police officers in Dodge Chargers intervene and take the lead as the fleeing truck drives on both passenger rims. Shortly thereafter, they bring the truck into the pits and end the pursuit.

The friction between metal and asphalt causes the front of the truck to boil, and smoke begins to billow before the pursuit is even over. The whole thing becomes a fire that the police must put out, just like our suspect’s dogged determination.
