Southerly winds are expected to strengthen today, gusting to more than 25 miles per hour. Under the influence of this wind and abundant sunshine, temperatures will rise to the mid to upper 80s, making for a warm, summery day despite the arrival of fall. With these strong winds, dry conditions and warm temperatures, the risk of fire is increased. However, there are signs of change.
