The relentless Mets fight back to the NLDS lead against the Phillies

The Mets were just one win away from punching their ticket to the National League Championship Series.

Home runs from Pete Alonso and Jesse Winker and RBIs from Starling Marte and Jose Iglesias helped the Mets to a 7-2 Game 3 victory over the Phillies in the NLDS.

Sean Manaea pitched seven innings in the playoff win, allowing just three hits and striking out six batters.

Marte’s single in the bottom of the sixth scored two more runs and Iglesias singled in the seventh to score two more runs.

Francisco Lindor scored the Mets’ seventh run in the bottom of the eighth.
