The Las Vegas Raiders were hit with a bad case of déjà vu in their Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It was the second week in a row that the Raiders got off to a fast start in the first half and then lost control later on due to penalties and turnovers. In the last two games they have passed the ball to the opposing defense six times – three times in each game.

While the Raiders committed three fewer penalties than the Steelers, two of them proved costly, negating a touchdown pass from Aidan O’Connell to Alexander Mattison and an interception from Divine Deablo.

While the Raiders don’t make any excuses for it, they did have to enter the game against several key starters, including Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Christian Wilkins and Zamir White, to name a few. The Raiders’ margin for error was already low, especially against the star-studded Steelers defense, which has allowed four of its six opponents fewer than 20 points this season.
