“The Platform 2: Spanish Horror Film” is the top film on Netflix

According to the platform’s public ranking system, “The Platform 2” is currently the most popular film on Netflix.

The Spanish sci-fi horror film is a prequel to 2019’s “The Platform” (“El hoyo”), about prisoners living in a tall tower with one cell per level. Residents of this “Vertical Self-Management Center” can only eat from a platform that runs from the top all the way to the bottom, with two-minute breaks at each level.

Although the first film received mostly positive reviews, critical response to The Platform 2 was more mixed.
