The Packers began the second quarter with Love checking at the line of scrimmage and hitting Doubs with a back-shoulder throw that the third-year receiver converted into a 10-yard touchdown to give Green Bay’s lead 14:55 The score increased to 14-0 in the first half. The 11-play, 80-yard drive lasted 6 minutes and 42 seconds all season.

The Packers forced a second three-and-out with Edgerrin Cooper tackling Trey Benson for a 1-yard gain on second-and-6. Green Bay went on an ILB blitz in the third and forced Murray into an incompletion.

On second-and-5, Tucker Kraft moves to the right edge while fellow tight end Ben Sims clears the left sideline for a 28-yard gain. Sims had four career catches for 21 yards through Sunday.

A 9-yard pass to Kraft moved the ball past midfield. On fourth-and-2 from the Arizona 37, Love threw a perfect ball over the middle to Christian Watson for 22 yards.

Love completed eight passes in a row before a third-and-6 pass to Watson was broken up in the end zone, but Brayden Narveson hit a 36-yard field goal to extend the Packers’ lead to 17 with 6:32 left: 0 from the first half.

Jaire Alexander parried a slant pass to Marvin Harrison Jr. on first down. Harrison was slow to get up after the play, but left under his own power. Arizona had a three-pointer and a punt. Reed initially fumbled on his return, but there were compensatory penalties against the boards, including the Cardinals being whistled for a horse-collar tackle.

Keisean Nixon recovered the next punt and scored a career-long 39-yard return to the Arizona 44. On the first play of the drive, Watson separated at a post and Love found him for a 44-yard TD to extend Green Bay’s lead 24-0 with 4:32 left in the first half.

Penalties hurt the Packers on the Cardinals’ next possession, with Jaire Alexander being charged with unnecessary roughness after a Murray scramble and Nixon receiving an illegal hands-to-face penalty at the end of an 8-yard run by Conner.

Arizona was assessed a holding penalty after a 2-yard run by Conner as the two-minute warning loomed.

The Cardinals got going with an 18-yard TD pass to Wilson to cut the deficit to 24-7 with 1:56 left in the first half.

Green Bay tried to start a late drive, but Bo Melton slipped out of the slot and Sean Murphy-Bunting grabbed Love on the Packers’ 45th. Arizona recovered from a holding penalty on the first play of the series and launched a scoring drive, capped by a 38-yard field goal by Chad Ryland, to pull Arizona back within two points, 24-10.
