“The industry is really so scary”

Don’t expect Chappell Roan to appear in a film anytime soon, as the singer says she has turned down acting offers.

In a new interview, “Good Luck, Babe” accused the Hollywood industry and actors of being “fucking crazy.”

“I say this with peace, love and blessings. Actors are fucking crazy,” she told Bowen Yang in a post for interview Magazine.

Roan closed the Saturday Night Live The actor said in her statement that he “doesn’t have the charisma that I’m talking about,” adding: “Film people scare me so much. I’ve been asked in the last few weeks, ‘Do you want the lead role in XYZ?’ and I said, ‘No.'”

“I originally started doing music because I wanted to be an actor, but then I moved to Los Angeles and thought, ‘Fuck this,'” she continued. “The industry is really so scary and I have no control over it anymore. I can release music whenever I want.”

Roan says what she likes about music is that she doesn’t “have to wait for a casting director to say, ‘It would be great if we cast you. Then we’ll set your schedule for the next three months.'”

The singer said she would be open to “maybe a cameo,” but “it would have to be really specific and really silly.”

“I’ve learned how to behave, but for me it’s the most stressful thing in the world. I’d rather be arrested,” she added.

Roan recently reached number two on the Billboard 200 charts with her debut studio album The rise and fall of a Midwestern princess.
