The department of Maine-et-Loire was bred on a voluntary basis on the occasion of European heritage diaries

The department took part in the 41st edition of the European Heritage Diary, which ended on 21 and 22 September. The plant protection product should be used with particular care beforehand.

For this new edition of the European Heritage Diaries, the department has chosen to focus on vegetables. On this occasion, visitors were able to visit the gardens of the former Saint-Aubin Abbey and leave the Hôtel du Département and the Prefecture of Maine-et-Loire.

On September 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., it will be possible to visit the premises of the departmental hotel, located in the old Saint-Aubin abbey. Juste à côté, Place Michel Debré, the local producer, proposes a march with animations and tastings on September 22 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On the occasion of previous editions, the Collégiale Saint-Martin is opened to the public. The opportunity to discover “Professionals”, a completely new installation signed by Lucie Lom. Two castles in the department are open to the public: the Château de Plessis-Macé and the Château de Montsoreau.

The Departmental Conservation Office has exceptionally created a depository for movable objects and an archaeological base, as the Departmental Culture Service is proposing a discovery of contemporary art.

Finally, the Archives départementales de Maine-et-Loire are back this weekend with visits, workshops and fun discoveries.
