The coach of a tennis star advocates fairness in women’s sport

Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, number 3 in the world women’s tennis rankings, reached the final of the Cincinnati Open on Sunday by defeating top-seeded Poland’s Iga Świątek.

Sabalenka dominated Świątek and won in two sets (6:3, 6:3).

This is a big story in the tennis world, but viewers noticed something very interesting during the televised broadcast.

Tennis broadcasts often show the players’ coaching box, where (of course) the players’ coaches sit. The coaches usually communicate with the players there.

But one of the trainers in the box on Sabelenka’s side had something interesting to report.

He wore a cap with the logo of XX-XY Athletics, a company dedicated to protecting women’s sports.

OutKick has covered XX-XY Athletics in the past, including their ban from TikTok advertising for airing a commercial in which biological men injured women in athletic competitions.

The company’s founder, Jennifer Sey, also wrote a commentary for OutKick.

The mission statement on the company’s website clearly states: “We stand by our purpose. We are here to protect women’s sports and spaces.”

While the company’s ultimate goal is to manufacture and sell athletic apparel, Sey and the brand make it clear that they are fighting to keep biological males out of women’s sports.

This is a sensitive issue, especially now after the controversy at the Olympic Games, where two boxers with XY chromosomes won gold medals in women’s boxing.

More and more voices are speaking out against allowing people with XY chromosomes to compete in women’s sports, as they have clear biological advantages.

The fact that the coach of a top tennis player conveys such a message with a hat is a good sign that the tide is turning and people are turning against the madness of allowing biological men to participate in women’s sports.

Hopefully common sense is slowly beginning to gain the upper hand.
