High School Musical 3 had almost a completely different atmosphere.

High School Musical Stars Corbin Bleu and Lucas Grabeel have revised the original plans for High School Musical 3.

If you High School Musical If you have looked closely over the years, you already know that High School Musical 3: Senior Year would have almost been a completely different film. When the film was originally announced, Oren Aviv, President of Production at Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, gave a tease that it would be called Scary High School Musical.

Not much else has been revealed, but now Chad & Ryan actors Corbin Bleu and Lucas Grabeel have confirmed that a “creepy” version of High School Musical 3 was in the works before Disney ultimately decided to set it around senior year.

In a new interview for Etalk, Corbin asked Lucas about High School Musical 3 be a Halloween movie. Lucas then said, “I remember Bill Borden, the executive producer of all of High School Musicals, telling me there was a possibility. I think it was after it had already been rejected, but he said, ‘Yeah, we had the idea that it would be some kind of scary haunted thing.'”

Corbin laughed at the original “haunted” concept, adding, “I’m glad we didn’t go in that direction.”

Lucas also said that in that case they would have had to make a fourth film. He explained: “I think if we had done that, it would have been another interlude and we would have had a High School Musical 4 as a senior year. Everything must reach its climax in the last year of school.”

Corbin agreed, saying, “That’s one of those that would have been a fun little cutscene.”

Lucas concluded by saying that they still have a version of Ghostly High School Musical in the future: “Maybe we’ll make a short film. Maybe that’s an idea we’ll implement at some point. What do you think?”

In 2022, Zac Efron told E! News that he would like High School Musical 4 with the original cast. He said: “That would be incredible. I hope it happens.”

Is the original cast reuniting for a fourth Halloween movie? Someone needs to call the president of the Disney Channel.
