Veterans Day is an opportunity for everyone to thank those who have served our country. For this reason, retailers and restaurants are offering special offers to mark the occasion. Veterans Day falls on November 11th every year and is on Monday this year.

How is military or veteran status verified?

Your status as a veteran or active military member can be verified in several ways that vary depending on the location you are visiting.

Most restaurants require valid proof of service in the form of a military ID or veteran’s ID card. If you want to score a free meal, be sure to bring your own.
