LOS ANGELES – Missouri State will open the 2025 college football season at USC, the universities announced today (Oct. 2).

The Bears will visit the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on August 30, 2025 to open the 2025 football season. The game officially marks Missouri State’s first contest as an FBS program and is the first-ever meeting between the programs.


Missouri State will officially join Conference USA on July 1st.

USC has played football at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum since its construction in 1923. The Coliseum is one of the most productive stadiums in America and was named one of the 40 Best Stadiums to Experience College Football (2005) by The Sporting News. According to StadiumJourney.com, it is the #3 stadium in the country to watch college football. Football can experience (2014). It will also host the opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies and athletics events of the 2028 Olympic Games.

The Bears have already announced the following non-conference games for 2025:

• September 6th – at Marshall
• September 13 – vs. SMU
• September 20 – vs. UT Martin

Missouri State’s schedule for its inaugural season in CUSA will be announced by the conference at a later date.
