The Adirondack Brewery is hosting two Oktoberfests on Lake George this fall

Fall foliage in Lake George is nearing its peak just in time for the Adirondack Brewery’s annual Oktoberfest. The 13thTh The annual Village of Lake George Oktoberfest takes place on Canada Street October 11-13, Columbus Day Weekend. This is a free, family-friendly event.

The 18thTh The annual Oktoberfest Charity Block Party will be held on Saturday, October 19, in front of the Adirondack Pub & Brewery, 33 Canada Street. This is a ticketed event for adults of legal drinking age. A portion of the proceeds from the 2024 Oktoberfest Charity Block Party will benefit the Ben Osborn Memorial Fund.

“Our Oktoberfest events are inspired by the traditions of Bavaria, but we make it a point to give the event a local accent,” says brewery owner John Carr. “Each year, this Oktoberfest benefits a nonprofit organization that supports the community.”

The Village Oktoberfest takes place on Canada Street in front of Shepard Park. Traffic will be diverted off the road between Montcalm Street and Amherst Street. A large tent will be set up in front of the park, which will contain a beer garden and a stage with a dance floor where polka bands will perform. More than 40 craft vendors will be set up in front of the tent and visitors can participate in games and competitions in the park. There will be rides, yard games and bouncy castles on the street.

Please note that all food and beers in the beer garden are only available for cash payment. Some providers may accept credit cards; However, organizers recommend that participants bring cash. Well-behaved rental dogs are welcome. This is a rain or shine event. Free parking is available at the Biscotti Brothers/High Peaks Distilling property at 1 Canada Street (half a mile south of Shepard Park). Additional parking can be found on the side streets surrounding Canada Street.

The following Saturday, October 19th, the Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Charity Block Party begins at noon. Sewell Street will be closed to traffic to make room for a large stage. Tickets are $55 in advance, $60 the day of the party and $10 for certain riders. Tickets can be purchased online at Eventbrite. Tickets include admission to Oktoberfest, a traditional Oktoberfest dinner, a 5-ounce tasting mug, an unlimited tasting of Adirondack Brewery’s craft beers and ciders, and wine, beer and cider tastings from guest breweries and wineries. Come in traditional Bavarian costume and take part in the costume competition. Games and competitions take place throughout the day. The party is rain or shine. Parking is free.

The beneficiary of the 2024 Oktoberfest Charity Block Party is the Ben Osborn Memorial Fund, which supports children with different needs. It was founded in memory of Lake George graduate Ben Osborn. Osborn died in June 2010 while serving his country in the U.S. Army during Operation Enduring Freedom.
