‘That’s how I am with kids’ – Mike Tyson explains viral encounter with Hasbulla that saw social media star throw punches at him

Mike Tyson has claimed he mistook social media star Hasbulla for “a baby” during their infamous encounter.

Hasbulla is 22 years old and suffers from a rare form of dwarfism. A press conference against his rival Abdu Rozik caused him to go viral on social media.

The Dagestan star has been heavily involved in the fight world and once met heavyweight legend Tyson during an appearance on his podcast HotBoxin’.

Hasbulla lashed out at the heavyweight legend before picking him up and beginning to rock him, sparking a lot of interest on social media.

Tyson has now clarified exactly why he behaved that way in an interview with boxing legend Andre Ward.

He said, “Yes. I thought it was a baby. No no. I didn’t know.

“That’s me with kids, I’m hugging this guy, and he’s like 26 years old.”

The misunderstanding was simply on Tyson’s side, and the encounter skyrocketed Hasbulla’s profile even further.

He has since been linked to an exceptional fight in the UFC due to his close friendship with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev.

UFC President Dana White has even talked about it, but given Hasbulla’s current stance on a potential fight, it seems unlikely.

Tyson has always been in the spotlight as he is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time.

The heavyweight legend broke records during his frightening heyday, where he once reigned as the undisputed heavyweight champion.

He finally retired in 2005 after his form declined and he lost his last fight to Kevin McBride when boxing fans thought they had seen the last of him.

But he returned in 2020 in an amazing exhibition duel with Roy Jones Jr.

Now he will return in even more incredible fashion on November 15th in a professional contest against Jake Paul.

And the 58-year-old simply believes it’s up to him whether he wants to risk his health by continuing to fight.

“I could wait any day for a cannabis check,” Tyson said. That’s bullshit to me. I’m a man.

“I want to go out and put myself at risk. Sometimes I want to see who I really am.”

“I want to see what I’m really made of. I want to perform in front of the world.”

“For me, this is all I’ve been able to do since I was 14. This fight won’t change my life financially enough.”

“This is exactly what I want to do.”
