The Foreigner Franchise returns to theaters for the first time in seven years with Alien: Romulusone of six brand new horror films coming to theaters and homes this week.

When the dead come back, what do we do with them? The film group RKSS (Turbo Kid, Summer ’84) offers a fresh look at the undead in the SCREAMBOX Original Horror comedy We are zombiesnow streaming on VOD and SCREAMBOX.

In a city full of people with disabilities – also known as non-cannibalistic zombies – three lazybones looking for a quick buck must battle petty criminals and an evil corporation to save their kidnapped grandmother. Watch the official version. We are zombies Trailer below.

RKSS — the Canadian film collective consisting of François Simard, Anouk WhissellAnd Yoann-Karl Whissell — wrote and directed the horror comedy based on the comic series The zombies that ate the world.

Alexandre Nachi (1991), Derek Johns (The boys), Megan Pete Hill (Riverdale), Vincent Leclerc (The Revenant), Benz-Antoine (Death race), And Carlo Mestroni (Assassin’s Creed II) star.

We are zombies brought laughter and bloodshed at the Fantasia International Film Festival, the Sitges Film Festival and the Fantastic Fest and was screened alongside audience favourites such as Shaun of the Dead, ZombielandAnd Warm bodies.

“It is finally time for us to unleash We are zombies!” exclaims RKSS. “As horror fans and genre filmmakers, we are thrilled to be working with the fine folks at Bloody Disgusting and their streaming platform SCREAMBOX to bring this to your screens.”

After Well Go USA’s werewolf film hit theaters last month, The beast within with Kit Harington (“Game of Thrones”) is now available from VOD providers domestically.

In the werewolf film, “ten-year-old Willow follows her parents on one of their secret nighttime excursions into the heart of the ancient forest after a series of strange events cause her to question her family’s isolated life in a fortified compound deep in the English wilderness.

“But when she witnesses her father undergo a terrible transformation, she too becomes trapped in the dark secret her ancestors have tried so desperately to hide.”

Ashleigh Cummings, James Cosmo, Caoilinn Springall, Miriam Arabella Maslin and Adam Basil also star The beast withinthe filmmaker’s feature film debut Alexander J. Farrell.

NEON has had a killer year here in 2024 and they are back with The maternal instincta Hitchcock thriller that was released on VOD providers domestically on Tuesday, August 13th.

The psychological thriller stars Oscar winners Jessica Chastain And Anne Hathaway.

The maternal instinct based on the novel Behind the Grove by Barbara Abel, and it is also a remake of the French-language film of the same name by director Olivier Masset-Depasse from 2018.

The big new release of the week is of course 20th Century Studios’ Alien: Romuluswhich will be released exclusively in cinemas nationwide from Thursday, August 15th.

From the director Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe), the film will be available in IMAX®, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, ScreenX and everywhere else. Watch the final trailer below.

In Romulus“While plundering the depths of an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonizers encounter the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: Legacy, Uprising in the Pacific) leads the cast alongside Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn And Aileen Wu.

Fede Alvarez co-wrote the screenplay with Rodo Sayagues (evil Dead). Ridley Scott is on board as a producer for the film, the first film in the series to be released by Disney.

Alien: Romulus based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett.

Devon Sawa (“Chucky”, Final goal, Idle hands) receives wild in the wilderness in Consumedthe latest horror film from The Butcher Brothers (The Hamiltons, The violent nature).

Consumed Theatrical release and on demand on Friday, August 16th.

In the film, “a married couple trapped between a vengeful madman (Devon Sawa) and a skinning monster must find the strength to fight and escape the forest alive.”

Courtney Halverson (Friendship dissolved, Saint Agatha) And Mark Famiglietti (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) co-stars in “Jay and Beth, a married couple who go on a camping trip a year after Beth’s cancer remission and find themselves caught between a savage madman (Sawa) and a skinning monster.”

The Butcher Brothers, also known as director Mitchell Altieri and producer Phil Floresdirectly based on a script by David Calbert. Jeffrey Allardone of the producers of 2003 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Reboot, produced the upcoming horror film.

Netflix reportedly paid $65 million for the rights to The Redemption in a heated bidding war, and they will release the film in select theaters on August 16, ahead of its Netflix debut.

Omar Epps, Demi Singleton, Miss Lawrence And Anthony B. Jenkins Star in The Redemptionwhich is described as an “exorcism thriller”. Andra Day, Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, Aunjanue Ellis, Caleb McLaughlin And Tasha Smith also star.

In the film, “Ebony Jackson, a single mother battling her own personal demons, moves her family into a new home to make a fresh start. But when strange occurrences in the house arouse the suspicions of child welfare services and threaten to tear the family apart, Ebony soon finds herself in a fight for her life and the souls of her children.”

Netflix The Redemption is based on a true story and in addition to directing, Lee Daniels also wrote the screenplay David Coggeshall, Elijah Bynum And Thomas Westfall.
