Taylor Swift thanks Dave Portnoy in a handwritten letter presented at the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift made a special delivery for Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy ahead of her Eras Tour concert in Miami on Saturday.

The “BFFs” podcast host took to social media on Sunday to share the handwritten note that the “Cruel Summer” singer had her brother, Austin Swift, personally deliver at the show.

“What a gift from @taylorswift to @stoolpresidente at the Eras Tour last night,” the Instagram caption read.

Taylor wrote “Dave!” on the front of a white envelope that also featured her image of a star. The back of the envelope was sealed with wax, emblazoned with the Grammy winner’s famous lucky number 13.

“Dave, I’m so excited to have you on the show tonight!” the 34-year-old pop star wrote in the letter. “I wanted to thank you for always being so supportive, so loyal and for having my back when many others didn’t.

“I hope you have a lot of fun tonight!! Love, Taylor,” she concluded, signing the note with a heart.

The “Fortnights” singer apparently expressed her gratitude to Portnoy, 47, for defending her after she publicly supported Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential campaign.

On Sunday, the proud Swiftie gushed over the hitmaker’s thoughtful handwritten gesture.

“Not everyone agrees on every issue, whatever politics, whatever ideology – Swifties are about love and support and Taylor,” Portnoy said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter).

He went on to say that he had “the time of his life” on the Eras Tour and that he “can’t get over how incredible Taylor is as a live artist.”

“I can’t believe I met Austin and her mom (Andrea Swift),” Portnoy continued. “I haven’t met Taylor. That’s okay. I don’t think she ever actually meets people when she’s performing.”

Portnoy said the handwritten note meant “more” to him than meeting the billionaire musician because it meant Taylor “made time” out of her busy schedule to write the letter.

His comments came after he thought Taylor’s team had “ghosted” him as he had not initially received a personal invitation to their concert.

Last month, Taylor endorsed Harris for president with a viral Instagram post in which she urged her fans to “educate themselves on the issues of the day.”

Although the “Bad Blood” hitmaker received mixed reactions to the support, Portnoy defended the singer’s political statement.

“As the king of Swifties, people ask me what I think about their Kamala support. I don’t care at all. “The people of this country can vote for whoever they want,” he wrote about X on September 11th.
